Eagles Beat Cleveland

The Philadelphia Eagles beat the Cleveland Browns in their preseason meeting tonight. Most of the Eagles scoring happened in the third quarter—they scored 14. The Cleveland Browns got their lone score in the fourth quarter. Donovan McNabb was 7 for 9 in passing for 78 yards.

Jeff Garcia threw for 125 yards (8 for 11) and 1 TD for the Eagles. His 32 yard TD pass was thrown to Darnerien McCants. For the Browns, Lang Campbell threw an 8 yard TD pass to Jerome Harrison. The Brows could only muster 179 total yards—47 on the ground.

The game was full of penalties. The Eagles led the way with 12 and the Browns followed with 7. It was a pretty lackluster game for both teams. The Eagles, in their 2nd preseason game, look ready to play. They need to cut down on the penalties, but that will happen when the first team is playing fulltime.
